The Rose Bar Story
~A Dream Come True!

Creating Rose Bar Soap has been a long but rewarding journey. A few years ago, I resigned from my administrative position in higher education to pursue something that would put a smile on my face at the end of the day. I packed up everything, went back to school, and studied to become a California licensed cosmetologist— a long standing dream which I thought would enable me to help people nurture their skin and promote their general wellbeing. I am grateful for the tremendous support of my incredible husband and my two adorable daughters for making this dream a reality. Along the way, I met so many wonderful people, notably Ms. Suki Leung, a great mentor who inspired me in so many ways at the American Beauty Institute. As a licensed cosmetologist, I have handled my client’s individual needs with great passion and customized care.
The smiles on their faces after each spa session has been so rewarding for me.
My experience has heightened my awareness of the chemicals contained in many of the products that we use on our bodies and in our homes, and the unsafe nature of these chemicals. Commercially manufactured hot processed soaps contain a cocktail of ingredients that loses most of its nourishing qualities during the manufacturing process. Many of these soaps lack natural ingredients and are laden with environmentally hazardous components that can irritate and dry out the skin.

Technically, all-natural soaps contain chemicals! Therefore, differentiating good chemicals from bad ones has been pivotal in our mission. Thanks to my graduate school research experience, I painstakingly studied several natural soap chemicals and components, and through research, identified naturally nourishing and environmentally friendly soap-making ingredients, such as the earth’s own organic clay, plant-based oils and phytochemicals, plant butters, and essential natural oils that soothe, moisturize, protect, and enhance the skin’s barrier.
Rose Bar is cold processed and meticulously taken through a longer natural curing procedure, so that its natural ingredients are preserved and not denatured. Each Rose Bar has been tried and tested by my family and friends. If we don’t love it, we don’t sell it, period! Our packaging is environmentally friendly and 100% sustainable, and each bar is carefully and lovingly hand wrapped because I hold each customer in high esteem.
I appreciate your patronage, and I am proud to provide products that exemplify my love and passion for aesthetics and skincare.
With lots of love from my home to yours,
